Hidden Treasures

Hidden Treasures

Searching for a great way to entertain young children whilst in Stratford? This is the perfect bike ride. It is gentle enough for the younger ones to cycle their way through but yet can boast some spectacular scenery along the way. Most of the trail is off road so your young ones and yourself can relax and enjoy the ride.

You will start at the top of the Carrington walkway where you will navigate your way over a series of bridges before emerging at the Elephant playground. This is a great spot to stop and let the kids burn off some extra energy whilst you catch your breath again. Right next to the elephant playground is the local indoor heated swimming pools, which are open all year round. Park your bikes up and take a refreshing dip before carrying on along the trail. After posing for a photo by the statue of our famous solider Colonel Malone, young children will love cycling underneath the road bridge.

You will pop out just before Victoria park where the kids can play and walk around the lake feeding the ducks. To cap the ride off perfectly you will cycle through the tree canopy of the Stratford Race course before emerging at the end point. The children will love leading the way through the tree filled walkways and spending some time racing around the playgrounds. This is a fantastic route to get them away from the technology and busyness of life and back to nature again.
