Seaside Sights

Seaside Sights

Start your adventure at the Bell Block bike park where the children can pretend they are driving on the road in a safe environment with real working traffic lights. There is something for everyone at the Bell Block bike park and the only problem will be trying to drag your children away. Just a short cycle from the bike park is the world renown Te Rewa Rewa Bridge. You cannot visit New Plymouth without having your photo taken by this iconic sculpture.

As you cycle your way on this award winning walkway you will have the options of paddling your feet in the water at Fitzroy Beach and stopping at the playground at East End Reserve before finding yourself at the famous wind wand sculpture by Len Lye. Just up the road is Kawaroa park where you can stop in so the kids can have a swim whilst you relax in one of their hot pools.

To mark the end of a great day you can grab a meal at one of the restaurants along the Breakwater Bay. If you love the sound and smell of the ocean you will love this cycle trail. You can feel the sea spray as you take in the fantastic views of the Tasman Sea. Parents can enjoy this trail as it is all off road, keeping their young ones as safe as possible whilst having a great day on the coastal walkway.
